I asked WMS how did you get started with the Sneak Attacks?
I learned about Sneak Attacks on the 3rd or 4th attack. Very early on! I was a member of EtsyGreetings team. One of the other members of the team had been “attacked” at the previous Sneak Attack and let the other team members know about it. I fell in love with the whole idea of a Sneak Attack. I could immediately imagine how a “victim” might feel when s/he first saw those emails coming in to let them know about their sales. I love the way a group of people could work together — each doing a small thing — and make such an impact on a new seller. Etsy can be a huge, impersonal place. Sneak Attacks suddenly make it warm and personal.

‘Discovered’ a really cute item in WMS’ shop – a cell phone charm made to look like a spinning wheel. Well if you love spinning as much as WMS does, you will adore this hanging from YOUR cell phone!

My yarn line is dedicated to my grandmother who passed away in April. The shop name, ShireKat Yarns, is actually a combination of her first and middle names (Shirley Kathleen) and was the username she came up with for her email account. In honor of her, I donate 10% of every sale to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.

I asked MsBitty how she found out about the Sneak Attacks.
I actually found the sneak attack site via Scatterbrain Tees. (made by Michael of Phippsart, the artist who started this great group) I loved the “Buy Handmade” Tee (which by the way I own one). From there I checked the group saw what I liked and joined. At first, I only checked in during the attacks, but then began chatting more and more and just love the little niche. The sneaky members are SUPER AWESOME!

WMS loves the world of knitting and fiber and works to make her Etsy shop reflect that love:
I started my shop with general items and have slowly moved toward more and more knitting/spinning-related stuff. It fits my interests well (I adore knitting and spinning) and the fiber community seems to really like being able to purchase little gifts like mugs and stitch markers that fit with their interests.

I browsed through WMS’ shop and found these adorable stitch markers. OMG – oreo cookies – so yummy (Please Do Not Eat!).

Ros is a wonderful artist, painting something that she loves, creating a print of it and making a greeting card. I asked Ros recently what new creation she would like to try. She mentioned that she wanted to try doing digital paintings. And this is the result…

I love old barns! Knowing this, my niece sent me several photos of old barns that she had come across and this was one of them. The colors were fabulous and I had just gotten my Cintiq Tablet and couldn’t wait to try it out! The result was the first digital painting that I have done. This is an original digital watercolor painting using the Cintiq Wacom Tablet.

And Happy replied:
Custom Coloring Books for Weddings (many brides like to have something for kids to do at weddings) – Sets of coloring books for Mom’s in general – a problem I run into with my daughter is that when we go to a restaurant I can fit her crayons into the diaper bag but a coloring book is too big. My coloring books are small enough that they would work out perfectly.

What a wonderful idea – wish we had something like that when my children were small!

I recently asked Bead what new techniques or mediums she was interested in trying for her Etsy shop.

I really would love to try my hand at enameling and to get more confident in soldering/metalwork- taught myself some more metal arts recently and it was a blast!
