What is a Sneak Attack?
It's a way to support independant artisans who are trying to sell their wares online. Two days a week at an appointed time, an Etsy shop with few or no sales is announced on this site. As many people as possible then buy items from that shop, resulting in a frenzy of surprise business to the unsuspecting shop! To the upper right is the current Sneak Attack schedule. To participate, show up on this site at or soon after the time of the next attack and you'll see the chosen shop name in the box above. Then go to that shop and purchase an item, making sure to include the words "Sneak Attack" in the "message to seller". It's also fun to tune into the current thread on Etsy to talk about it with other "attackers".

September 1st: Meet LaRue and Budd
Today’s Sneak Attack, at 3pm Etsy time, is sponsored by our Dynamic Duo – a husband and wife team. LaRue is from LaRue Fashions and Budd is from Budds Photo
It’s been awhile since they have picked some ‘victims’ to introduce to us. I wanted to show you some of the neat items that are in there shops! Aren’t these just the cutest sandals you have ever seen?
LaRue also has a stash shop – isn’t it fun to find supplies at great prices?? Like these lampwork glass items!

I love old barns! Knowing this, my niece sent me several photos of old barns that she had come across and this was one of them. The colors were fabulous and I had just gotten my Cintiq Tablet and couldn’t wait to try it out! The result was the first digital painting that I have done. This is an original digital watercolor painting using the Cintiq Wacom Tablet.

Custom Coloring Books for Weddings (many brides like to have something for kids to do at weddings) – Sets of coloring books for Mom’s in general – a problem I run into with my daughter is that when we go to a restaurant I can fit her crayons into the diaper bag but a coloring book is too big. My coloring books are small enough that they would work out perfectly.
What a wonderful idea – wish we had something like that when my children were small!

August 15th: Meet Bead
Bead from Bead Soul is a frequent sponsor and always comes up with some delightful new Etsy shops for us to meet. And I’m sure that today will be no exception!
I recently asked Bead what new techniques or mediums she was interested in trying for her Etsy shop.
I really would love to try my hand at enameling and to get more confident in soldering/metalwork- taught myself some more metal arts recently and it was a blast!
